June is National Scoliosis Awareness Month so I've decided to share my 20-year journey with Scoliosis and chronic pain.
If you have chronic pain or scoliosis, I hope my experience and everything I've learned over the years can be interesting and helpful to you, or at the very least make you think a bit differently about the connections between pain in the body, things that have happened to you and the types of treatments you might try.
In this episode I share:
-Getting adult teeth extracted when I was 11 and the impact that
can have on pain and stability
-My scoliosis forming and how it is now
-All the different natural therapies I have tried to treat my
scoliosis, neck, back and jaw pain
-The many conventional doctors I have seen and the hard to believe
treatments they recommended
-The neuromuscular dentistry work I did in my 20s (spoiler alert -
I had to have metal braces!) to help alleviate the pain and what
happened
-The connection between hip and SI joint imbalance and jaw and neck
pain
-Hyperextension, loose ligaments, hypermobile joints and how that
is connected to pain
-The two natural therapies that keep me out of extreme pain these
days
-The emotional trauma work I was introduced to that has begun to
make me think a bit differently about my pain
